BEST ANSWER on this subject: I do not like to get in the habit of saying one style is better than others. In regards to karate as a sport-I believe tournament compeition, that while it has some benefits, it does create? a mindset and habits that will? not work for actual? combat. I also agree that when you can not attck the joints, eyes, throat, fingers, groin, etc that a true martial artist would not be able to effectively use their style. pomminsu 1 month ago

Have some respect, yeah there are a lot of douchbags in mma probably the majority ....but the mma art itself brings something that is close to? the martial arts with one exception ---reallity and belive me real is one thing and looking cool is the other , a real fight is something completly different again...And yes a lot of martial arts are fake thats te hard truth , it may work wiith someone that is in no shape and super slow....but go against a simple boxer and the fun will end...

That guy really knows what he's doing! I love watching martial arts? and can't get enough of the great action movies that are coming out these days. I especially enjoy the Kung Fu movies of Jackie Chan and Jet Li and that's why I was so excited when "Films of Fury" finally came out on demand with some great scenes from some of the best action movies around. Im sure he is strong and fast. But how much fighting experience does he have. Static drills and just drills does not make you a better a fighter. Having a student attack you in a set drill and just turn into a crash test dummy can make anyone look good. Do you do any form of sparring? Real fight training needs? movement, energy and timing. You cannot drill these aspects.
